Finishing Needed

I hope you guys didn't think I'd forgotten about my laundry room. I didn't. In fact, I was trying to hold off on posting anything until she was 100% completely done, buuuuut yea, that might take a while. I am hoping that it doesn't take too long. I'd like to have her completely done in the next week or so.

I'm so jealous of the people that have these nice walk-in laundry rooms that have room to maneuver in. Mine is ok....but it'd be better if there wasn't a nook in it. Oh well. I will work with what I have.

So I'm sure that you all remember the haphazard state that my laundry room was in before. Oh that's right. I didn't really show you anything. :) I really can't believe that I'm showing these pictures to you guys, because the room has looked worse and better. This would probably be on the worse side.
Here's the nook. Nice quarters, huh?

The poor dogs. I was invading their space. Did I mention the lack of space? Our main level has 10 foot ceilings. Guess who can't reach the ceiling even standing on a step stool? That ladder was a very tight fit in that small room.

So remember that hint that I gave a week or so again. What do you think this is?

This turned into this! I'm soooooo in love with my room right now. The cabinet was a $40 find on craigslist!

The shelf had to be put this far over from the wall because of that blasted light switch. Ugh! The shelf works better here than behind the door. Its more accessible now, and as you can see....in use. :)

Doesn't the stainless steel look fabulous? Its contact paper. And the whole room cost me about $20 in contact paper. Love! The nook is still there, but its a little more palpable now. :)

Look how nicely my exacto knife and the contact paper worked together. :-) The alarm panel was a small PITA.

Isn't it lovely? I do love my orchids. Too bad they don't love me back, but silks love everyone! :)

Well there's the room right now. Like I said, there are still a few projects to be done before she's officially done, but I am so pleased with how she looks now that I couldn't wait to share it with you guys!

The total cost for this room is pretty low so far. The cabinet was $40, the paint was $5, the contact paper was $20 for 3 rolls (two different brands, but you can't tell). So for $65, I've completely revamped the hardest working room in the house. Not to shabby. :)

I can't get the rest of it done and then share it with you. Have a great day guys and enjoy yourselves!
Heather
