Fit 4 Thursday - Old Navy Active

2/23/2017 0 Comments

It's been awhile since I've done one of my features, and it's really just because I'm a slacker.

Today I am not a slacker. Today I have a post for you about some of Old Navy's acitvewear. I will apologize in advance for the cruddy pictures. I am not great at taking full length pictures of myself.

A very long time ago, I complained about the lack of options for us tall gals in the fashion department. Add in a bit of hip, and you've got a nightmare for properly fitting pants. Of any kind, but we're talking activewear here, so I'll stick to just those pants.

Adding a POP of Color!

When I started kicking around the idea of redoing our room, I knew that I wanted my vanity to have a bolder presence in the room and that meant finding the right big color for it.

My original plan was to paint the vanity the color that ended up on the walls, because I wasn't going to paint the room again. When the hubs said that we could paint the room, well that was a game changer, and I knew the exact color that the vanity would be painted - a bright emerald green, Luscious Green, to be exact.

Finding the color wasn't at all difficult, a quick trip to Lowe's and I had the chip, and then when I found the lamps and needed to paint them, the paint color was also a spray paint color! That's fate right there. I wish finding fabric with a strong green was as easy a task. That's a story for another day though.

Watercolor Splatter Art

So we've all been on pinterest and found certain projects that on the surface look fairly simple to accomplish. Then you get into the project, and you realize that you are so far over your head that you need to take a different approach. 5 approaches later, you realize that you are not an artist and you have merely accomplished an impressive display of pinterest fails.

Agate watercolor art was my downfall. What could be so hard about that? A lot. Or maybe it's just me. Either way, after 5 or 6 tries, I resorted to a different approach for my watercolor art in my bedroom.

I threw paint. I'm good at throwing paint.
