My dining room chandelier - a builder special. There's nothing wrong with it, but the nickel is not working for me, and I know I could paint it, but......I dunno. I got nothing.
My kitchen sink {don't mind the dishes} and can light. I would love to have a pendant hanging here. Hubby agrees. Yay! Now just to find one.
For Christmas, my uber-wonderful husband got me this wagon wheel chandelier for our kitchen table. I adore this chandelier. So I'd like the pendant above the sink to work with this light. No pressure, right?
So I've been looking for lights.
I've found a couple of good possibilities. Here's what I found!I like these lights for the kitchen.
and I like this light for the dining room.
So here's where the giveaway notice comes in. In the next few days (probably Saturday) I will post up the official giveaway, but CSN stores and I have teamed up to offer ya'll, my wonderful readers, a $40 gift certificate to any of their over 200 stores. Some of these are www.allmodern.com , www.cookware.com http://www.toysandgamesonline.
I hope you guys are ready, and have enjoyed this sneak preview!
Hi Heather~ When I saw your dining room chandelier the first thing that popped in my head was to remove the little shades and replace it with one large round shade. I'm not sure how it would attach it but being as clever as you are... I sure you could figure out a way. Traditional meets modern!!!
ReplyDeleteHeather, the dining room lite is not much different that what you have now, it's very similar in structure. What about something that in reverse so the light is projecting down towards the table the rather than upwards, you could still put shades on it if you wanted. I do like the single black hanging lite over the sink...that would look beautiful!
ReplyDeletethose are both great ideas....I am thinking that I need bust out of my comfy zone. Time to do some more searching :)
ReplyDeleteUmmmmm, don't you recognize that chandelier you like for the dining room? It's EXACTLY the same as the one Mum hated in the dining room at our old house. EXACTLY!!!
ReplyDeletewell no one ever said that we had to like the same stuff :) I am really digging the idea of the shade to go over it, but a 27" drum shade is expensive! I wonder how one goes about making their own shade. :)
